    2. Any x-rays, MRI, CT reports and physical therapy prescription (if you have one).

  • No. According to New York State Law, you can be seen by a licensed physical therapist for 30 days or 10 visits before needing to consult with a doctor and obtain a prescription. Some insurances do require a Doctor’s prescription initially, so if you are submitting to your insurance for out-of-network benefits, please contact them to check if this is required.

  • All treatments are 1-on-1, and 60 minutes long. This allows us to listen to all your needs and take the necessary time to address each of your specific problems.

Your initial appointment will have a comprehensive, full-body analysis where we diagnose and treat the issues that you’re experiencing. Many patients are not aware of their symptoms until we treat it.

During your follow-up appointments, we reassess to check in on the successes of our treatment, and to catch any new issues. Generally, we spend more time treating than assessing during these sessions.

Our treatment style is called Functional Manual Therapy®. It’s a highly specialized whole-body approach wherein we manually adjust and re-educate your body. The process is hands-on and healing, and we are with you every step of the way.

Many patients experience a dramatic improvement after 1 session - but each patient’s circumstances are unique, and treatment for you may take a few sessions or more. Your PT will set a plan and timeline with you after your 1st appointment.

  • Each patient is thoroughly assessed at the beginning of treatment to look at what structural, strength, and postural deficiencies you may have. Once this is assessed, we will set up a plan for you which may include starting with trainers right away, or gradually transitioning to working with Kinected's skilled staff as your injury progressively improves. During the transition, we will communicate regularly with your Pilates / GYROTONIC trainer to make sure we are working towards the same goals and sharing findings from each of our sessions so that the other's treatment can be more informed and effective.
